Map Request – Boone County GIS can create professional quality cartographic prints of any location inside of Boone County. These maps may be customized to display any layers that are listed in our layer list. All maps will be produced with a standard Boone County GIS map template.

Digital Data Request – GIS data may be obtained in the following formats: ESRI Shapefile, AutoCAD dxf, or tabular data in .dbf or text delimited format.

Data Collection and Compilation – Boone County GIS can collect and compile geographic data in the following formats: ESRI Shapefile, ESRI coverage, ESRI e00, ESRI Geodatabase, AutoCAD dxf. Costs for these services are incurred on an hourly basis and vary based on the amount of work involved and the equipment necessary to complete the task. Please inquire with the GIS Services division of the Boone County Planning Commission for a quote. These services are based on the availability of resources at the time of the request.
Data Maintenance and Updates – Boone County GIS can maintain existing GIS data layers and provide updated data layers in the following formats: ESRI Shapefile, ESRI coverage, ESRI e00, ESRI Geodatabase, AutoCAD dxf. Costs for these services are incurred on an hourly basis and vary based on the amount of work involved and the equipment necessary to complete the task. Spatial Analysis – Boone County GIS can perform computerized spatial analysis projects utilizing the most current ESRI software. Common functions such as geocoding, overlay analysis and routing studies are possible with the current technological capabilities of Boone County GIS. Costs for these services are incurred on an hourly basis and vary based on the amount of work involved and the equipment necessary to complete the task. GIS Technical Support – Boone County GIS can provide technical support for GIS activities. GIS Technical support is typically limited to Boone County GIS Members; however, separate arrangements may be made with interested parties to purchase GIS support. GIS Project Support – Boone County GIS can provide support for various projects for both public and private entities working in Boone County. The projects can range from stream mitigation to school redistricting.
Internet Mapping Service Hosting – Boone County GIS can build and maintain Internet Mapping Services. These websites can be open to the public or password protected based on the client’s preference. Please note that data collection, compilation, and maintenance costs may be necessary as a result of this service.
